Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has chosen FC Barcelona as his next club and is ready to wait rejecting other offers.
Silva is said to have rejected a new contract to stay at City, as well as a lucrative offer from Paris Saint-Germain, in order to hold his ground for the Spanish champions.
The 28-year-old, who has been with City for six years, was expected to join Saudi Arabia this summer. But the Portuguese midfielder and winger seems to want to wait for Barca.
It remains to be seen whether City will accept an offer from Barcelona, which won’t necessarily be high given the team’s extremely fragile financial situation. Silva still has two years left on his contract with City, but Mundo Deportivo claims Pep Guardiola wouldn’t oppose Silva’s transfer, provided the transfer fee is acceptable to City.
Silva will have to wait for FC Barcelona to find the money to make him a suitable offer. It may be necessary to activate other economic levers so that the Catalans can afford to recruit him.
