The new coach of Naples, Rudi Garcia, would like to attract a compatriot in his workforce.

Since he settled on the Napoli bench, replacing Luciano Spalletti, Rudi Garcia has not yet obtained any major recruits. But, it’s only a matter of days and it could well start with a Frenchman. The technician would indeed target an international tricolor.

Still no recruits for Garcia

The player targeted by the Partenopei is Jean-Clair Todibo. The Nice-Matin daily claims that Garcia has come to information about the former Barcelona player. With the very likely departure of South Korean Kim Min-Jae, he would like to make him his new central defender.

Todibo’s market value is €30m according to the site transfermarkt. The Italian champion club will therefore have to make a significant effort to be able to enlist him. Even by managing the necessary funds, the Partenopei are not sure of achieving their ends. Todibo could decide, like his teammate Kephren Thuram, to stay in Nice for at least one more year in order to maximize his chances of playing Euro 2024 with the Blues.

Before Todibo, Garcia had already considered attracting two compatriots to southern Italy. He had his sights on his two former proteges at OL, Maxence Caqueret and Lucas Tousart. It ultimately didn’t happen. His club is certainly waiting for cash inflows linked to sales to finally go on the offensive at the transfer window.
