French defender Benjamin Mendy has just won a new legal match.
His football career took a serious hit. His life as a man may not be totally ruined. English justice cleared Benjamin Mendy after a second trial which lasted three weeks and ended on Friday.
Chester Crown court found the 28-year-old French defender not guilty of rape and attempted rape, after complaints from two women. The former OM and Manchester City player could not hold back his tears at the time of the verdict, reports The Evening Standard.
Earlier this year, Mendy had been cleared of six charges of rape and one of sexual assault.
