Liverpool is attacked from all sides by the clubs of Saudi Arabia! While Jordan Henderson was approached this Thursday by Al-Etiffaq, a formation led by Steven Gerard, it is now Fabinho’s turn to be the priority target of another resident of the Saudi Pro League.
In effect, The Athletic informs that Fabinho is in turn on the tablets of Al-Ittihad. The Jeddah-based outfit are set to land a first bid of £40m (just over €45m) for the 29-year-old midfielder. For its part, Liverpool should also shortly make known its position vis-à-vis the Brazilian, under contract with the club until June 2026. If the Reds have not clearly indicated that they want to part with the ex-Real Madrid player, however, they are considering several options to replace him like Romeo Lavia, the defensive midfielder from Southampton who has a good rating in England. If his departure were to materialise, Fabinho would join another Premier League defector, N’Golo Kanté.
