FC Barcelona could soon welcome one of its former jewels and member of the victorious C1 team in 2011.

FC Barcelona may not have as much money as before, but their management has ideas. If we believe the rumors emanating from Spain, Blaugrana officials are studying the possibility of bringing a former home back to the club.

Xavi insists on this rookie

This ex-Barcelona is none other than Thiago Alcantara. The Spanish international is said to be in the process of leaving for Liverpool and the Spanish champion club is seriously considering repatriating him. Despite his advanced age (32) and a rather worrying medical report, we would be convinced that he can still perform well and be very useful to the team.

The interest in Mazinho’s son would also be explained by the presence of Xavi on the bench. The latter knows Thiago Alcantara very well for having been his teammate for four years (between 2009 and 2013). The two men have even been lined up side by side on numerous occasions.

Barça challenged by Galatasaray

FC Barcelona is not the only club to eye the ex-Bayern Munich player. Istanbul’s Galatasaray Turks are also interested. Backstage noises have even reported an agreement already reached with the player’s entourage. Could the latter change his mind in the face of the call of his ex? Nothing is less sure.
