Definitely, the period is not the calmest to manage for Nasser al-Khelaïfi. Having to manage the Kylian Mbappé file, the president of Paris Saint-Germain also recently suffered a search at his home before the presentation of Luis Enrique. At the same time, his former butler, Hicham Karmoussi, filed a complaint against X for “attempted kidnapping”, “extortion”, “criminal association”, “witness tampering” and “corruption of a public official”.
This is linked to the case of Tayeb Benabderrahmane, a Franco-Algerian businessman arrested and imprisoned for several months for allegedly compromising documents on Nasser al-Khelaïfi. As reported AFPHicham Karmoussi’s lawyer, Maître Antoine Ory reacted to this affair: “(He) wishes in particular to denounce the conditions under which he signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at allowing the release of Tayeb Benabderrahmane, then detained in Qatar.” A spokesperson for Nasser al-Khelaïfi also intervened: “What we seem to forget in this pathetic smear campaign is that Nasser al-Khelaïfi is a victim in this case.” The investigation continues to follow its course since last January.
