Lionel Messi insists he is ‘happy’ with his decision to join Inter Miami and has promised to continue performing at the highest level.
Messi has been approached several times as he prepared to leave Paris Saint-Germain. His former club, FC Barcelona, made a big effort to recruit him and the Saudi club Al-Hilal also made him a fabulous contract offer. He preferred to join Inter Miami, where he will find the former coach of Argentina and FC Barcelona, Gerardo Martino, and he assures that he will give everything to continue playing at the highest level.
Messi also spoke about this in an interview with Public TV “My mentality and my head will not change and I will try, wherever I am, to give the maximum for me and for the club, in order to continue to perform at the highest level.
We are happy with the decision we made. We are ready and eager to take on this new challenge, this new change”.
Satisfied with his decision
Messi has landed in the United States as he prepares to be introduced as a new signing at Inter Miami, and he has also hinted that he will soon retire to Argentina after helping his country win his third World Cup, the 36-year-old’s career now on the wane.
