OL ‍: The Ligue 2 serial goalscorer dreams of Lyon ‍!

Author of 23 goals and 8 assists in Ligue 2 with Metz last season, Georges Mikautadze dreams of a return to OL.

Brilliant under the colors of FC Metz last season, Georges Mikautadze burst the screen in Ligue 2. The 22-year-old Georgian striker is preparing to discover Ligue 1 with the Grenats, who managed to snatch their rise among the ‘elite. Mikautadze could nevertheless leave Metz in the event of a good offer on the transfer market. After its successful season, there is no doubt that the Alsatian club will be greedy with regard to potentially interested clubs.

Georges Mikautadze dreams of a return to OL

For his part, the player would welcome a start in a more upscale club. According to information from the Olympique & Lyonnais site, the FC Metz striker is in favor of a return to his training club, namely OL, where he played until U15. Former teammate of Amine Gouiri at Les Gones, the Metz striker had not been kept in the capital of Gaul because of his small size. A few years later, the opinion of Lyon recruiters inevitably changed with regard to a player who broke the house in Ligue 2 by establishing himself as one of the best scorers on a national scale.

A few months ago, Georges Mikautadze had also launched a very clear appeal to Lyon, explaining that as a Lyonnais, he necessarily dreamed of playing for OL. It is now a question of whether the Gones will follow up on this interest while for the time being, the offensive sector of Laurent Blanc is well supplied with Lacazette, Cherki, Barcola, Kadewere, Sarr or even Faivre and Toko-Ekambi. Several players on this list are however on the way out and nothing says that OL will not attack Georges Mikautadze when several undesirables have found a way out.
