This is one of the hottest issues of this summer transfer window. French international striker Randal Kolo Muani (24) continues to punctuate this summer market, as he comes out of a successful club season with Frankfurt where (46 games, 23 goals, 15 assists) but also in selection national with the Blues (9 games, 1 goal) where he participated in the World Cup in Qatar. Coveted by Paris Saint-Germain for several months, the track had calmed down for some time, while the management of the capital club worked on other urgent summer files, in particular contract extensions, the departure of Lionel Messi , the rumors around Kylian Mbappé but above all the research for the future coach.

Nevertheless, according to information from our colleagues at Parisian and of The Team, PSG did not abandon the Randal Kolo Muani file in this summer transfer window – far from it. Moreover, we learned on Monday that the Parisian leaders were increasing contacts with Frankfurt to try to attract the former FC Nantes player. Indeed, Luis Campos is still active to find a number 9, while the tracks leading to Victor Osimhen (Naples) or Harry Kane (Tottenham) have yielded nothing due to the demands deemed too excessive by Neapolitan President Aurelio De Laurentiis. Paris, through its president Nasser al-Khelaïfi, therefore decided to relaunch negotiations last week with the German club to secure the services of the French international. The Qatari president still wants to set up a project to “Frenchify” the Parisian workforce.

Tough English competition

If PSG is determined to have tough discussions with Frankfurt for RKM, under contract until June 2027 with the German club, the competition in the race to sign the Frenchman remains complicated. Indeed, the rating of Kolo Muani, especially in England, is always high. In the Premier League, two British leaders are not giving up: Manchester United and Chelsea, still focused on the idea of thwarting the plans of Luis Campos and Nasser al-Khelaïfi. The Frankfurt striker has already expressed his interest in the Premier League but is nevertheless attentive to the Parisian project. We must not omit Bayern Munich in the race since despite advanced discussions with Tottenham for Harry Kane, the Bavarians have never really abandoned the track of the French striker.

As a reminder, according to the latest rumors, Adler’s management has set the price of his striker at 70 million euros, or even 80 million. A substantial sum which could increase, if the buying club were to stick bonuses in the transaction. The German press even mentioned the price of 120 million in its columns. This week is therefore starting very strongly for the premises of the Parc des Princes since several formalizations could fall in the coming hours. Between the termination of Christophe Galtier’s contract, the arrival of Luis Enrique on the bench or the recorded signatures of Manuel Ugarte, Milan Škriniar, Marco Asensio or even Lucas Hernandez, the Parisian management must now continue the major summer projects launched since the end of the season.
