According to the latest information from The Athleticthe leaders of the Mersey club are, in fact, in advanced negotiations for the transfer of the attacking midfielder from RB Leipzig, Dominik Szoboszlai.

Linked to the last third in the Bundesliga until June 2026, the Hungarian international (32 caps, 7 goals) would thus offer himself a new challenge after two and a half seasons spent on the side of the Red Bull Arena. Arrived from RB Salzburg in January 2021, Szoboszlai would thus bring to the Reds his technique and great versatility in the heart of the game. Author of 10 goals and 13 assists in 46 matches in all competitions, the native of Székesfehérvár would also come, compensate for the departures of James Milner (Brighton) and Naby Keita (Werder Bremen).

Liverpool accelerates for its midfield!

Confident in this case, the Reds are on the verge of reaching an agreement with their German counterparts, while the player’s release clause, set at 70 million euros, expires this Friday, June 30. The English media mentions, however, that the amount of the operation will necessarily remain high in view of the contractual situation of the 22-year-old Hungarian. The Athletic also specifies that the way is clear for Liverpool since Newcastle, a time on the lookout, is no longer in the race.

With this in mind and to confirm the positive trend, “Sky Sports” even indicates, for his part, that Szoboszlai has already decided to join the Reds. Excellent news for Jürgen Klopp, ready to do anything to allow his people to return to the heights of the Premier League and the Champions League next season. Alongside this file, Liverpool and Leipzig have also agreed on the loan of promising Portuguese attacking midfielder Fabio Carvalho (20) to Germany. In the event of Dominik Szoboszlai’s departure, Marco Rose may therefore have already found his replacement…
