It’s the last straight line before the holidays for the Blues! This Monday, the France team welcomes Greece to the Stade de France as part of the 4th day of qualifying for Euro 2024. Easy winners of Gibraltar last Friday (0-3), Didier Deschamps’ men surfed on their good momentum and consolidated their first place in the classification of this group B (1st, 9pts). For this last outing of the season, the Blues will also be keen to shine in front of their public, and thus end this international gathering on a good note. Opposite, the selection trained by Gustavo Poyet (2nd, 6pts), who got the better of Ireland a few days ago (2-1), will try to create a surprise against the finalist of the last World Cup and revive the suspense in this group of playoffs. This part will be followed live with live commentary on the French Football Weekly site from 8:45 p.m.

For this fourth meeting of the French team in these qualifiers for Euro 2024, Didier Deschamps has decided to keep his tactical plan organized in 4-2-3-1. Spared following a physical problem against Gibraltar, Mike Maignan and Dayot Upamecano find a starting place in the defensive sector. The latter will be accompanied by Jules Koundé, Ibrahima Konaté and Théo Hernandez. Unsurprisingly, the tricolor coach is betting on continuity in the midfield by maintaining his confidence in Eduardo Camavinga, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Antoine Griezmann. Finally, a change is made in attack compared to the last outing of the Blues with the tenure of Randal Kolo Muani at the forefront in place of Olivier Giroud. On the Greek side, Gustavo Poyet is no exception to his methods and his 4-2-3-1 system articulated around several executives such as goalkeeper Odysséas Vlachodímos and left side Kostas Tsimikas in defense. Anastásios Bakasétas will have the heavy task of animating the midfield while Giorgos Giakoumakis will occupy the point of attack.

The essays :

France : Maignan – Koundé, Konaté, Upamecano, T. Hernandez – Camavinga, Tchouaméni – Coman, Griezmann, Mbappé – Kolo Muani.

Greece: Vlachodimos – Baldock, Mavropanos, Hatzidiakos, Tsimikas – Kourbelis, Mantalos – Masouras, Bakasetas, Siopis – Giakoumakis.
