This Saturday, Chelsea formalized a new recruit. And as often this summer, the Blues got their hands on a promising young player. Indeed, Ishe Samuels-Smith, a young 17-year-old English defender, signed up for around 4.6 million euros from Everton. Able to evolve in the axis and on the left flank of the defense, the player played Euro U17 with England but never played professionally with the Toffees despite a few appearances on the bench for the latter.
In the statement from the London club, Samuels-Smith expressed his pride in joining an institution as great as Chelsea: “It was a shock for me because everything happened quickly, but I’m really happy to be here. It will be a good experience to join such a big club. It will be a new challenge because there are high level players here, so I will have to adapt quickly and pass the levels.»
