Chelsea and Brighton still at odds over Moisés Caicedo

The saga has not finished continuing. If Moisés Caicedo is determined to join London, Brighton gives Chelsea a hard time. Indeed, the two clubs have been discussing for several weeks already around a transfer which would send the Ecuadorian to form an exciting duo with the other South American Enzo Fernandez. But so far, still no agreement except that between the player and the London club.

According to The Guardian, Brighton are reportedly asking around €100m for Moisés Caicedo. A staggering price that echoes that of Declan Rice, leaving for Arsenal. But the Blues are – for now – not ready to put so much for the 21-year-old midfielder. Chelsea would offer between 70 and 80 M€ to secure the services of the Ecuadorian, far from what the greedy Seagulls expect. If the Londoners are very busy selling and downsizing their workforce, they could quickly shift into high gear in the coming weeks to complete the Caicedo file. Also note that Brighton are still looking to bring back Levi Colwill, loaned by the Blues last season but who seems to be untouchable in the eyes of Mauricio Pochettino.
