Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka returns to the Bundesliga. Indeed, the international of the Nati (115 caps, 13 goals) engages freely with Bayer Leverkusen, sixth in the German championship last season and qualified for the Europa League. The 30-year-old therefore joins the team led by Xabi Alonso and commits to it until June 2027. His transfer brings in 25 million euros for the Gunners.
“I know the league like the back of my hand and have always watched it from London. Bayer 04 is a club with an impressive history and ambitious goals. But above all, I see it as a club with a great future. The discussions with the managers were enormously motivating. We are ambitious and we want to achieve something – I am very much looking forward to the years to come.”said the principal concerned in the press release from the German club.
