PSG ended up sending Mauro Icardi to Turkey definitively, even if the negotiations were very drastic with Galatasaray.
It seems like a long way off, but Mauro Icardi was PSG’s number one goalscorer when he arrived on loan from Inter Milan, a side he captained. The Argentinian had piled up the goals, scoring 20 times in 34 games only to be permanently transferred afterwards for 50 million euros. What followed was just a long fiasco, with extra-sporting worries and football no longer seeming to be his first priority. Put in the loft two years in a row, Icardi managed to bounce back to the side of Galatasaray, who benefited from his services last season without paying a large part of his salary. And who bought it definitively this weekend, even if the official announcement still waits a few days.

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, negotiations have come a long way in this case. Indeed, the PSG has set a selling price at 25 ME for the Argentine striker, before gradually lowering its demands with each negotiation. And in the end, it is a transfer whose price has been divided by 5 compared to the purchase that Paris SG had made, and by more than two compared to the initial requests of Luis Campos. Since Galatasaray has paid 10 million euros to afford the services of the husband of Wanda Nara, who risks losing in terms of salary, but has become a football player again since playing for the Turkish champion.
