Arrived in Marseille at the end of the day on Monday, Marcelino has already made strong choices for the OM transfer window, in particular concerning players returning from loan. Jordan Amavi, Pol Lirola and Konrad de la Fuente will not be retained.

On Monday, the non-international players of Olympique de Marseille returned to training. The recovery took place… without Marcelino. The new OM coach arrived at the end of the day, when everyone had already left. On the other hand, his assistants in charge of physical preparation and medical tests were on site to welcome the players and provide them with a first series of physical tests.

Marcelino landed in Marseille at the end of the day and was duly welcomed by Pablo Longoria and his right-hand man Javier Ribalta. The three men then dined together in Marseille, an opportunity for them to discuss OM’s future training camp in Germany… and the transfer window, Pablo Longoria’s favorite subject. In particular, there was talk of players returning from loan. In its edition of the day, La Provence explained on Monday that Marcelino was likely to give Pol Lirola or even Jordan Amavi a chance.

In the end, nothing will happen according to L’Equipe, category this Tuesday, explaining that the two full-backs in addition to Konrad de la Fuente are not part of the plans of OM and their new coach Marcelino. The three players were not invited to resume Monday at the same time as the rest of the group and they have a good chance of training apart on their return “while waiting to find a new base”. Marcelino will therefore not have taken long to settle his first three transfer window cases, while he also helped to bring Geoffrey Kondogbia from Atlético. In the days to come, discussions will continue between Marcelino and the OM staff while the recruitment of several full-backs and attackers is necessary to complete the squad.
