Mbappé and Real Madrid, this is his last chance

After the failure of 2022, Real Madrid are trying their luck for a transfer of Kylian Mbappé. The Merengue are in a strong position, but they hope that Mbappé will let go of PSG and finally sign in Madrid.

It is often said that the train does not pass a second time on the transfer market, but for Kylian Mbappé, Real Madrid will make an exception. The people of Madrid had been disgusted by the outcome of the soap opera in 2022. They seemed on track to sign the French player for free before the latter’s about-face in the spring in favor of PSG. The Spanish media and Madrid supporters had badly digested the decision of the kid from Bondy. A year later, the scenario is repeated with the French player’s asserted desire to leave and the clear intentions of Real Madrid against him. Nevertheless, the situation remains troubled and the Madrid club is not immune to further disillusionment in the matter.

2024, last deadline for Mbappé at Real

According to Spanish media including Marca, Real Madrid still want to recruit Mbappé for the summer of 2024, when he will be officially free since he did not want to lift the clause for an extension. Madrid would go on the attack next January despite the fact that PSG are open to selling their player from 2023. The price asked by the Parisians (Editor’s note: more than 200 million euros) does not really suit Florentino Perez, who prefers to pay only a signing bonus to Kylian Mbappé in a year. For 2024, we are on the same scenario as in 2022 with obviously the same chances of failure as at the time. Real Madrid are aware of this and put pressure on the player’s entourage. A second snub is unthinkable and even a delay in the arrival of Kylian Mbappé is not acceptable.

The website DefensaCentral reveals that Real Madrid have been very clear about this with Fayza Lamari, the mother, but also representative of Kylian Mbappé. According to the media, Mbappé is expected in 2024 and not after. Otherwise, especially in the event of an extension at PSG, even for just one year, it will be the end of Mbappé’s hopes of transferring to Real Madrid. An unequivocal pressure that shows the Spanish club’s newfound confidence in the case, but above all in its own strengths. With a squad made up of Vinicius, Rodrygo, Bellingham and a possible additional striker, Los Blancos can look to the future without the French star Paris Saint-Germain. But, on the side of Kylian Mbappé, we can think the opposite.

Wanting to triumph in the Champions League, and win a Ballon d’Or as soon as possible as he recently confided, the French will undoubtedly not be insensitive to the advantages offered by the Spanish club. While PSG once again seems to be groping in the transfer window, the Merengues are advancing with certainty. So even if Kylian Mbappé appreciates Ligue 1 and Paris, he can legitimately wonder if staying longer with the French champions is serious and reasonable for his career. Once his answer to this question is known, then the Real Madrid train can once again enter the station.
