Events accelerated on the side of Paris Saint-Germain since Lucas Hernandez signed his contract with the champions of France. The tricolor defender is PSG’s first reinforcement during this transfer window.
PSG has not made it official yet, but it is The Team who reveals it, Friday, and after having passed a very long medical examination, Lucas Hernandez initialed the contract which makes him a player of the club of the capital. Negotiations between Paris and Bayern Munich had intensified in recent days, and the agreement had been reached, even if at first the Bavarian club tried everything to keep its player. But, Lucas Hernandez was determined to join Paris Saint-Germain and he prevailed. Revealed in the jersey of Atlético Madrid, his training club, the native of Marseille had been transferred from Colchoneros to Bayern Munich in 2019 for 80 million euros, a record for the German champions. It is for a little more than half of this sum that the defender, world champion 2018 with France, joins PSG after a season marred by his serious knee injury during the World Cup in Qatar. We do not yet know the duration of the contract that binds Lucas Hernandez to Paris Saint-Germain.
