A time targeted by PSG, José Mourinho was also a target of Saudi Arabia during this summer transfer window.

On the strength of his encouraging results with AS Roma, particularly in the European Cup over the past two years, José Mourinho has regained good standing on the coaching market. A few weeks ago, the Special One was Luis Campos’ favorite to become Christophe Galtier’s successor at Paris Saint-Germain. José Mourinho held the rope for a long time before finally being overtaken by Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique in the minds of the Parisian leaders.

The former coach of Spain was chosen by the staff of PSG and will soon become the new coach of the Parisian club. A disappointment for José Mourinho, who was waiting for the call from Luis Campos to land in the French capital with the ambition of winning the Champions League in France. Faced with the decision of Paris to bet on another coach, Saudi Arabia threw itself on the Portuguese technician.

The Al-Hilal club has made it its priority and has been flirting with José Mourinho for several weeks, through his agent Jorge Mendes. A colossal proposal has been sent to the AS Roma manager, with a salary of 30 million euros net per year. An offer that was enough to make José Mourinho’s head spin… but which was finally refused by the Louve club coach according to Fabrizio Romano.

José Mourinho refuses the gigantic offer of the Saudis

The transfer window specialist says that despite the colossal salary offered by Saudi Arabia, José Mourinho has made the sporting decision to stay at AS Roma, a club to which he is attached and which he wants to continue to grow. Saudi Arabia can therefore capitulate on this file, José Mourinho will not leave Rome this summer and surprises everyone by refusing such a financial offer.
