OM‍: Israeli close to being the big surprise

In search of a new goalkeeper during this summer transfer window, Olympique de Marseille has checked the name of Daniel Peretz, a young Israeli goalkeeper from Maccabi Tel Aviv.

With the arrival of Marcelino, OM’s goalkeeper position could undergo changes. In addition to the fact that there are uncertainties around Pau Lopez, the titular goalkeeper, Marseille will lose its lining this summer. Arrived on loan a year ago, Ruben Blanco will indeed return to Celta Vigo from July. Which therefore means that OM must find a new goalkeeper for next season. And according to information from the TeamFootball site, the Marseille club is very interested in Daniel Peretz.

Author of a very good season at Maccabi Tel Aviv, with 25 clean sheets in 43 games in all competitions, the 22-year-old doorman notably made an impression against Nice in the Conference League. Also brilliant with Israel at Euro Espoirs, where he notably stopped two penalties against Germany in recent days, Peretz is really breaking through. It is therefore for this reason that Javier Ribalta ticked his name. The OM sports director has even started taking the temperature with the goalkeeper’s agent, who is the same as Valentin Rongier, the Marseille captain.

Big competition for Marseille in the Peretz file

Suffice to say that Marseille leaves with all the cards in hand in this case… or not, knowing that the competition is already tough. Nice is also following Peretz to make him the possible successor to Kasper Schmeichel. But knowing that the OGCN will not play in any European Cup and that the Aiglons are falling behind in the transfer window while awaiting the appointment of their next coach, the Riviera club is rather behind German clubs. Indeed, Dortmund and Leverkusen are also on the lookout in this case. OM will therefore have a lot to do to pocket the bet for Peretz, who will not move before the end of the Euro Espoirs, just to continue bidding around 7 million euros.
