OL are now negotiating exclusively with RB Leipzig for the sale of Castello Lukeba, who could leave in the coming days for 30 ME. The fans cringe.

Castello Lukeba’s season is still not over, and Lyon supporters can follow him from their television set because of his presence in the central defense of the France U23 team. It could be the last time they hear “the Lyonnais” when the name of the young central defender is mentioned. Indeed, discussions are accelerating around the sale of the nugget of OL, which is ardently courted by RB Leipzig. Always so fond of young French players, the German club has decided to go all out, even if there is still a size gap between the two offers. OL are asking for 35 million euros to validate the departure of their defender. For its part, the formation of Leipzig has so far only put 27 million euros on the table. An agreement between these two offers, around 30 ME, is widely possible according to Foot Mercato, for whom discussions will continue in the coming days.

OL lowers its claims by 10 ME

Amounts which are not negligible for the new OL management team, especially since it would allow Samuel Umtiti to (re) come, who is waiting for a place to become free to make his comeback at OL. In any case, Lyon supporters take a dim view of this possible transfer. First of all because it would be a big sporting loss, but also because the amount is considered too fair, knowing that Leipzig have deep pockets after selling Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea for 60 million euros. Especially since the Rhone club had initially announced that it wanted to recover 40 ME with Castello Lukeba. It will not a priori be in these waters for what will still be one of the best sales in the history of OL if this were to be confirmed.
