In search of a number 9, PSG has set its sights on Harry Kane. The Englishman is close to joining the capital club, making it easier for Real Madrid to sign Kylian Mbappé.
One of the big projects for PSG this summer, in addition to the search for a new coach, is the priority of recruiting a top striker. The Messi, Neymar and Mbappé trio did not work. Paris wishes to have a professional number 9 and Harry Kane is the most serious lead. Except that the Englishman is also scrutinized by Real Madrid who need to replace Karim Benzema. The two behemoths of European football are on the same player but could agree for the good of everyone. According to information from Don Balon, Real Madrid are not against the idea of letting Harry Kane join PSG. This could make it easier for the Parisians to sell Kylian Mbappé to the Merengue if his replacement is found.

The Spanish media explains that if Paris recruits Kane, the leaders will be able to sell Mbappé more easily this summer or let him go free the next. Real Madrid’s strategy is therefore to ensure that PSG offers the services of the Tottenham striker to then facilitate the arrival of Kylian Mbappé at the White House. At the moment, Real Madrid only have Joselu as a top striker. A good player for La Liga but too insufficient for the Champions League which is a concrete objective for Florentino Pérez. The future of Kane and that of Mbappé is therefore indirectly linked. PSG are also on the case for other attacking signings like Bernardo Silva while the Spaniards are interested in Kai Havertz. The summer transfer window is likely to be particularly lively in the coming weeks.
