At the end of the contract at Chelsea, the departure of N’Golo Kanté dragged on because of the medical checks which dragged on. But the tricolor environment is now a few hours away from joining Saudi Arabia.

For two weeks, the signing of N’Golo Kanté for a club in the Saudi Pro League, seemed imminent, the French midfielder having refused to renew at Chelsea. After seven years in London, the 2018 world champion has chosen to leave for the new financial El Dorado for footballers. But if Saudi Arabia is ready to pay huge salaries to the players, the leaders of the local clubs are not born from the last rain. So, aware that N’Golo Kanté was coming out of an almost white season due to a hamstring injury which kept him away from the field for 7 months, also depriving him of the World Cup with the France team. So, before signing the revealed player in the Caen jersey, the Al Ittihad club, which has already recruited Karim Benzema, imposed extensive medical tests.

Kante in Saudi Arabia, it’s done

This Sunday, Fabrizio Romano announces that finally N’Golo Kanté passed the last exams carried out on Saturday without any problem. The Italian journalist specializing in the transfer window specifies that Al Ittihad should formalize the signing of the former Chelsea player in the coming hours. The icing on the cake, having absolutely no concerns about the physical form of N’Golo Kanté, the contract offered to the midfielder will be longer than the one initially announced. The same Fabrizio Romano had mentioned a two-year contract with a staggering salary of 100 million euros per season. If in this future agreement N’Golo Kanté obtains one more year, it will therefore be a contract at 300 million euros until 2026.
