Lucas Hernandez would like to start a new chapter in his career at PSG. The French defender tried to force his departure especially as the Parisian club is seduced by his profile. But, Bayern will not let it go so easily.
Despite his serious injury contracted at the last World Cup, Lucas Hernandez remains a defensive heavyweight in Europe. Sometimes side, sometimes central defender, he is one of the most used players at Bayern Munich when he is operational. This is not currently the case after his cruciate ligament rupture suffered in Qatar against Australia. His rating remains high, however, especially at PSG who smelled the good shot this summer. The Parisian club wants to recruit the 27-year-old defender, taking advantage of Hernandez’s desire to leave. The latter is seduced by the PSG option and puts pressure on the Bavarian leaders.
Bayern remain firm on Hernandez
The context seems ideal for Parisians. Hernandez has just one year left on his contract at Bayern and the Bavarian top team recently changed executive chairman, with Jan-Christian Dreesen replacing Oliver Kahn. Bayern Munich are in a weak position on the file and it seems obvious that the Rekordmeister will give in quickly in the event of a good first offer from PSG for Hernandez. However, the reality is quite different.
