Without a coach since the departure of Igor Tudor two weeks ago, OM have stalled in their summer transfer window. Everything is connected.

Logically, the leaders of Olympique de Marseille have not yet formalized any summer recruits, while the coaching position is still vacant following the departure of Igor Tudor. Discussions are advanced with Marcelo Gallardo but for the time being, no final agreement has been reached between the former River Plate coach and the pair made up of Pablo Longoria and Javier Ribalta, in charge of finding the ideal coach for the OM.

OM’s transfer window is falling behind

Unlike PSG, which has advanced on several hot transfer window issues despite the absence of a coach (Asensio, Ugarte, Thuram), Olympique de Marseille does not want to impose recruits on its future coach. This could nevertheless be detrimental to the Marseille club because according to Mohamed Bouhafsi, two players have reached an agreement with OM to sign up for next season but are currently on stand-by, awaiting a agreement with Marcelo Gallardo or another coach.

“Gallardo has had an offer for several days. Last Monday, OM asked him to respond before the weekend. We expect the answer in the next few hours. indicated the journalist from France Télévisons before answering a question on the Olympian transfer window. “Everything is blocked because of the coach while OM had agreements on 2 players. The next coach must give his opinion on these two players, including an international central defender who played in the last World Cup. And it’s normal for it to happen that way. OM are not going to impose players so that the coach can square them” explained the journalist, who has kept some connections in the world of football in order to have some tips on the transfer window while Olympique de Marseille hopes to obtain the firm and definitive agreement of Marcelo Gallardo this Friday at the latest.
