OL’s summer transfer window, John Textor’s first since the departure of Jean-Michel Aulas, will be lively in the direction of arrivals but also in the direction of departures. Several players should pack their bags.
Olympique Lyonnais supporters are crossing their fingers that Bradley Barcola, Rayan Cherki or Castello Lukeba are not sacrificed by John Textor to the first big offer from England. Laurent Blanc would like to build his team next season around the three nuggets formed at the club and the sale of one of these three players would stain, including for the supporters who would immediately doubt the reliability of John Textor.
Four OL players in the hot seat?
A priori, the first idea is not to sacrifice one of OL’s three family jewels during this summer transfer window. According to the Olympique & Lyonnais site, the staff of the Rhone club has on the other hand identified four other players likely to be sold in order to bail out the club’s coffers in the event of a good offer this summer. Nicolas Tagliafico, Thiago Mendes, Johann Lepenant and Romain Faivre are quoted by the Lyon media, which understands that these players will not be retained in the event of a good offer during this transfer window.

This may surprise in particular with regard to Tagliafico, indisputable holder this season and author of good performances, or even for Lepenant, called to become an important player in the midfield. The departures of Thiago Mendes or Romain Faivre would, on the other hand, be a logical continuation of events. The Brazilian was never fully adopted at OL and still has a good rating abroad.
For his part, Romain Faivre does not imagine the future in Lyon after his good half-season on loan at Lorient. English clubs are in line to welcome the former Brest playmaker, who could be sold for around fifteen million euros this summer. Four potential departures which will surely suit the supporters, if it can keep the untouchable Cherki, Lukeba and Barcola.
