Like PSG, OM are also looking for a new coach. The Marseille club would hesitate between Marcelo Gallardo and Paulo Fonseca.

OM have been in the dark for a few weeks and the hasty departure of Igor Tudor. Pablo Longoria and his team are looking for the rare pearl to come and take over the reins of the Marseille club. Especially since the deadlines will be important, with in particular Champions League play-offs to be played from August. Time is running out on the Canebière to find a new trainer. Two names have apparently caught the attention of the Marseille management: Marcelo Gallardo and Paulo Fonseca. The first city has done little wonders in recent years with River Plate when the other revived LOSC last season. These two coaches are not yet unanimous among OM fans and observers. Still, given the choice, Sourigna would go for the Argentine.

Fonseca at OM, it’s no!

On the set of Marseille Football Club, the consultant gave a clear opinion on the subject. For him, there is no point in taking on a coach who did less well than Tudor last season. “I prefer to have a Gallardo who, even if he hasn’t proven anything in France, brings a new vision of football and something new rather than having a coach who certainly played well, but like Tudor and who hasn’t been as good as Tudor over the season. What is the added value of Fonseca if he comes to OM compared to Tudor? Fonseca he finished 5th, ok he played. Tudor finished 3rd. Are you going to get a coach who was less good than the coach you had? », said Sourigna in particular, who thinks that OM above all need a new vision of the game to achieve their objectives. The next few days will be decisive in the coach’s file in Marseille, as contacts have intensified with Marcelo Gallardo’s clan.
