Olympique Lyonnais formalized on Wednesday the appointment of Pierre Sage as director of the club’s training center.
” Olympique Lyonnais informs that it has appointed Pierre Sage at the head of its training center. Jean-François Vulliez will occupy a position of technical director while Laurie Dacquiny will still be responsible for the young women. Stone Sage, coach of the U16s at OL between 2019 and 2021, will take over the management of the training center from next season. Currently assistant coach at Red Star (National), and holder of a trainer’s diploma, the 44-year-old technician has chosen to return to Lyon to extend the club’s training policy as well as its methodology. OL would like to thank Red Star and its managers, who facilitated discussions to enable Pierre Sage’s return to Olympique Lyonnais.
Laurie Dacquiny, who arrived at the club two seasons ago, will still be responsible for the women’s academy, whose results have been very convincing in recent years with, in particular, the titles of champions of France R1 and U19 this season.
