Mattéo Guendouzi had a complicated second half of the season at OM. He was no longer used enough in midfield by Igor Tudor. Something to play on his motivation in the last matches as Bernard Pardo noticed.
The departure of Igor Tudor is far from having only made OM unhappy. Dimitri Payet or Mattéo Guendouzi must have appreciated that the Croatian packed his bags. The first never had the confidence of his coach, not entering his demanding game system at 36 years old. But the most surprising dismissal was that of Mattéo Guendouzi. Taulier from the Marseille midfielder during the first leg and present in Qatar for the World Cup, Guendouzi slipped on the bench over the second half of the season. Less used by his coach, he dragged his misery over the last months of Ligue 1.

Resentment is present in the former Arsenal and he did not wait long before charging his coach, who had just left OM. He didn’t accept his tactical choices, including the fact that Tudor didn’t use him enough in the middle. What also relativize his less good performance at the end of the season.
