The clean-up promised a year ago could well take place this summer. Three titular players are invited to leave PSG because of their level or their behavior, and this is unheard of in Paris.
For the moment, PSG has no coach for next season, and is struggling to show a strong political line for the construction of its future workforce. Between Luis Campos who has the blessing of Kylian Mbappé and the Emir of Qatar who has very specific ideas, it can always make sparks. But in the radius of the departures, there is however a confabulation in place and strong decisions which are unanimous. If they were to materialize in the coming weeks, it would cause an unprecedented earthquake in Paris. Much more than the famous end of the “bling-bling” announced in the past by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.
Historic sales for PSG
PSG is not used to selling its holders, and it has hardly ever happened since the start of the QSI era. And yet, this summer, three players are either pushed towards the exit, or encouraged to study an offer if it were to arrive. This is Neymar, whose behavior, injuries and sporting performance even ended up tiring of the Emir of Qatar, who had nevertheless pushed for his extension two years earlier. Announced on the side of the Premier League, which will indeed be his destination if a concrete offer were to fall, the Brazilian feels that his presence in Paris is no longer seen as a blessing by the leaders. He could therefore be listening if all the conditions are met, which will not be easy.

More surprisingly, this is also the case for Achraf Hakimi. His level of performance on the pitch is not necessarily the first of his complaints in the eyes of management, but according to RMC, the idea of parting with him is no longer unthinkable. The recent declarations of his agent, his visits to Milan to follow Inter in the Champions League, and his extra-sporting problems, do not correspond to the image that Al-Khelaïfi wants to give, who would see himself achieving a big sale at this level, the Moroccan being one of the most “expensive” players in the Paris squad. In addition, his propensity to spend “agitated” evenings according to sports radio, does not help his case. His proximity to Mbappé is no longer so important since the events of this season, and in the event of a real desire to leave, PSG would no longer say no.
Two revelers on the start, but not three. Indeed, despite a disappointing performance, and a love rating now down with supporters, Marco Verratti does not consider for a single second to leave PSG. His contract extension signed recently gives him a position of strength that he intends to use. His life is in Paris, and he won’t budge no matter the offers. Unless Nasser Al-Khelaïfi speaks publicly to tell him that he is now undesirable, Marco Verratti will stay in the French capital this summer.
