Despite announcements of the imminent arrival of Manuel Ugarte, the Uruguayan player has still not officially posed with the PSG jersey. The fault with the club of the capital which delays voluntarily to circumvent UEFA.

For a few days, Parisian supporters have been waiting for the formalization of the transfer of Manuel Ugarte. If everything suggests that the Sportif Portugal player has signed for PSG, no photo has come out to present the midfielder. According to information from Record, it is a will of Paris which wishes to wait before registering the 22-year-old player definitively in its workforce. The Portuguese media explains that it is to circumvent UEFA and wait until July 1, to definitively recruit the Uruguayan and that the cost of his transfer be recorded for the next financial year which will therefore begin on that date. A strategy of the Parisian leaders not to attract the wrath of financial fair play and to remain within the rules set up by UEFA.

Ugarte and Asensio soon presented by PSG

Record announces, however, that the medical examination has been successfully passed for Manuel Ugarte and that the promotional photos and videos have been taken. PSG are only waiting for July 1 to make the midfielder’s arrival official for 60 million euros for a contract running until June 2028. The situation is also the same for Marco Asensio, currently without a club and who will join PSG for free in early July. This will allow Paris to achieve a large summer transfer window without containing itself because of UEFA, which is very careful about Parisian spending on the windows of the transfer market. In the meantime, Manuel Ugarte must remain silent and be discreet in the media. PSG can thus concentrate on the search for the future coach since two recruits are already closed.
