In the final with Luis Enrique to become the next PSG coach, Julian Nagelsmann is not free of any contract. Bayern Munich will not make a gift to PSG.

In search of a successor to Christophe Galtier, who was informed Tuesday of his departure from Paris Saint-Germain by Luis Campos, the capital club is exploring several avenues. Two names come up with great insistence, those of Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann. The former FC Barcelona coach and the ex-Bayern Munich coach are the two big favorites to take over from Christophe Galtier.

As indicated by L’Equipe, Julian Nagelsmann is expected in Paris to continue negotiations with the PSG staff, which does not mean that an agreement has been reached for the moment. Unlike Luis Enrique, free as air after his dismissal from the Spanish selection, Julian Nagelsmann is not without a contract. Indeed, the German media TZ tells us that the German coach is still contractually bound to Bayern Munich. Despite the appointment of Thomas Tuchel in his place a few months ago, Julian Nagelsmann is still under contract with the Bavarian club.

Bayern demand 8 to 10 ME from PSG for Nagelsmann

A method increasingly used by clubs, which continue to pay their coach monthly while waiting for them to find a new project, which allows them to avoid signing too large a check at once as part of a dismissal. In the case of Julian Nagelsmann, the German receives 8 million euros per year. With a three-year contract, Bayern Munich would have been forced to pay 24 million euros in the event of dismissal.

This contract linking Nagelsmann to Bayern does not really help PSG because as indicated by TZ, the German champion is in his right to claim transfer compensation to let the 35-year-old coach slip away in Paris. And that’s exactly what is happening since the media claims that Bayern Munich are demanding 8 to 10 million euros to let Julian Nagelsmann slip away to PSG. A sum which will be added to that which Paris will have to pay to Christophe Galtier as part of his dismissal and which will therefore raise the bill for Qatar, used to signing checks for coaches in recent years. A bad habit that highlights the chaotic management of coaches in the French capital…
