It was in the pipeline, it’s now official: Karim Benzema will leave Real Madrid. The French striker will join Al-Ittihad and could soon be joined by N’Golo Kanté.

Saudi Arabia has been invited in recent months as a new stronghold of football. At least in the transfer market. The first real coup was to recruit Cristiano Ronaldo. Al-Nassr has obviously paved the way for other major arrivals. Karim Benzema will join the Al-Ittihad club in the coming months. The Ballon d’Or will be paid 400 million euros for a two-year contract. The Djebbah club does not want to stop on such a good path to put all the chances on its side to win the Saudi league. The next major player targeted by the Jeddah club is N’Golo Kanté (32).

Kante, Saudi Arabia’s next XXL move?

For the past few weeks, negotiations for a contract extension for N’Golo Kanté at Chelsea have been at a standstill. And Al-Ittihad is apparently responsible for it. According to information from Rudy Galetti, after the signing of Karim Benzema, representatives of the Saudi club will fly to London to meet N’Golo Kanté’s entourage to convince him to join them. Talks with the Chelsea midfielder started a few days ago and are on the right track. Al-Ittihad’s objective is to reach an agreement as soon as possible. It remains to be seen whether the Saudis will achieve their goals, certainly with an unbeatable salary offer. Because if Kanté joined Saudi Arabia, he will say goodbye to his chances of being called up to the France team, while the Blues are still counting on him and a Euro 2024 in Germany is just around the corner. Victim of repeated injuries this season, Kanté has only taken part in 9 games with Chelsea in all competitions.
