ANDREW GIBNEY – Editor, Writer, Podcaster
Since no one made a bid we’re stuck with Andrew for another season. Hugely dedicated to bringing Ligue 1 news and views to the wider public, Andrew has been a fan of the league since 2004. Born in Glasgow living in Leeds, soon to be Sheffield he is a huge fan of Lille but doesn’t let that cloud his judgement when it comes to the other 19 teams (Lens are in Ligue 2 :p). Spreading his time between here and on the gibfootballshow keeps Andrew very busy but as enthusiastic as ever.
Every team has a great partnership….Andrew is still waiting but until then he is stuck with his co-host from gay Paris.
JONATHAN JOHNSON – Editor, Writer, Podcaster
Hi everyone, My name is Jonathan and I am a Paris Saint-Germain fan. A freelance journalist by trade, I write the column ‘Le Gossip’ for skysports.com and also co-host the podcast with Andrew. I am based in Paris and will be keeping your fingers on the pulse of Ligue 1 this season.
Our second big money signing will bring a lot of creativity and ideas to the team. Another Glasweigan but with a few touches of French flair.
JASON MILLIGAN – Editor, Writer
Hello, I’m Jason – a fan of Olympique Lyonnais. I am a qualified linguist and have spent extended periods living abroad, particularly in France where some of my family originates from. I have a very keen interest in all things French, especially the football. I write as a columnist for the blog and very much look forward to sharing more of my opinions on the latest transfers and talking points from Ligue 1 with you this season.
As well as the three amigos, the team at FFW call upon some excellent writers to help the site along
CHRIS OAKLEY – Writer
Although he is no longer part of the podcast Chris will always be one of the original FFW founders is still keen to provide contributions to the site. Chris is a fan of nostalgia and football jerseys, we look forward to some interesting and varied inputs from the West Ham fan this season.
STÉPHANE FARENGA - Writer
Stéphane here, ready to fulfil all your French National Team needs. Half French, half American, I’m based in Oxford, doing the grad student thing. When I’m not stressing about that, I’ll be obsessing about Les Bleus and passing on my thoughts to you…oh, one more thing: supporteur des Verts!
GARY LINTON – Writer
Gary is somewhat like the littlest hobo of the group. He let him wander from country to country watching various games and reporting back on how the creme de la creme of French’s European targets are performing. Another Scotsman on board but at least this one supports a Scottish team.
ROSS MACKIEWICZ – Writer
Ross is a Paris Saint-Germain fan, but we don’t hold that against him. He is FFW’s Ligue 2 expert and will be delving below the top division to bring us the news and stories of who will be going up and who will be dropping down in France’s second division.
French Football Weekly moved to this domain on Monday the 1st of August. The old site opened on the 7th of Decemeber and had 38,827 views before we moved.
