Coupe de France: Huitièmes de Finale

Coupe-de-France1

The magic of the cupTM is back – and there are still several underdogs to root for. Four amateur teams remain in the last sixteen, Cannes and Moulins from the fourth tier, and L’Ile Rousse and Sete from the fifth – and as Moulins and Sete face off against each other, at least one minnow will leep swimming upstream. The big clash is the south-coast derby between Nice and Monaco, but there are some other tasty fixtures, as Lens (3rd in Ligue 2) go to Lyon, mid-Ligue-2-table Auxerre host stuttering Rennes, and feisty giant-killers Ile Rousse invite in-some-trouble Guingamp to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the Stade François-Coty to see if they can keep their epic run alive.
