A note on the league structure: it goes Ligue 1, Ligue 2, National, CFA, CFA 2, DH (Division d’Honneur), then it gets a little complicated depending what region you are in. The smallest minnows, italicised above, are La Cayolle in the DHR in Ligue Méditérranée, and Quimperlé in DSE in Ligue Bretagne (not DSR, as per L’Equipe) which puts them both in the 7th tier of the French football pyramid, and Marcq-en-Baroeul in PH in Ligue Nord-Pas-de-Calais, which makes them 8th tier.
