Vote: Player of the Month – November

November 30, 2011 8:20 am

It is that time again. Only three league games to base these picks on this month but there has been some excellent performances. Let the best man win.

OLIVIER GIROUD (Montpellier) – Top Scorer in Ligue 1. Inspirational as his team climbed to the top of the table. A hat-trick against Sochaux led his side to two wins and a draw during November.

JIRES KEMBO EKOKO (Rennes) – Les Rouges et Noir have picked up excellent wins against Evian and Lyon with Kembo excelling with two goals this month. A vote for Kembo is a vote for his excellent teammates Julien Feret and Jonathan Pitroipa who also deserve to be on this list.

LAMINE KONÉ (Lorient) – Through a tough injury plagued month Lorient have continued to push forward and although most of the plaudits will go to Yann Jouffre and Gilles Sunu so much credit has to go to Koné. Usually found on the bench behind Ecuele-Manga and Bourillion his performances against Ajaccio and Nice helped Lorient climb to seventh.

BAPTISTE REYNET (Dijon) – Recording eight saves and the wins against Nancy and Bordeaux really showed what this young keeper is all about. Dijon have started to pick up some important points and the performances of Reynet have been so decisive to their run this month.

LOIC REMY (Marseille) – The goal against PSG in Le Classique was the icing on the cake for what has been an excellent month for the French international. Two goals and an assist in Marseille’s two wins and the winner in France’s friendly win over the USA highlight what has been an excellent season so far for Remy even though his club started very poorly.
