Kylian Mbappé, injured in the thigh during Real Madrid’s victory against Atalanta Bergamo (2-3) in the Champions League, had to leave the field prematurely in the 36th minute. At a press conference this Friday, Carlo Ancelotti was optimistic about the state of health of his star striker.
“Mbappé will travel to Qatar”
According to Ancelotti, Mbappé’s injury is linked to muscle overload, without apparent seriousness. “He felt discomfort in his hamstrings and couldn’t sprint, so we decided to replace him. Fortunately, it doesn’t matter.” explained the Italian technician. Mbappé will be absent for the match against Rayo Vallecano in La Liga this Saturday, but will rejoin the team for the trip to Qatar for the Intercontinental Cup.
Camavinga back, Tchouaméni in defense
Ancelotti also gave news of Eduardo Camavinga, now fit to play, and welcomed the commitment of Aurélien Tchouaméni, successfully repositioned in central defense to compensate for injuries. “He’s a fundamental pivot, but he plays central defender with a great sense of sacrifice,”
he confided.
