Paris Saint-Germain is in great danger. After its new defeat in the Champions League, the third in five days, the capital club occupies 25th place in the ranking, two points behind 24th, Real Madrid, the last virtual qualifier for the competition play-offs.
Even if there is still a lack of data on this new C1 formula, analysts assure that PSG no longer has any chance of finishing among the first eight and qualifying directly for the round of 16. And the specter of elimination even before the play-offs is clearly present.
PSG has a six out of 10 chance of qualifying
According to the Football Rankings account, which made projections based on the form of the teams and the schedule, PSG would have a 40% chance of not reaching the play-offs, which is quite significant. According to these analyses, there would a priori be three places for five between PSG, Feyenoord, Stuttgart, Bruges and Dinamo Zagreb. With a 95% chance of qualifying, Real Madrid seems a little more secure.
Note that PSG remains a fairly credible threat in the event of qualification. The capital club are cited among the contenders with victory, although the designated favorite is currently Liverpool, ahead of Real Madrid and Manchester City.
