Manchester United has been facing financial problems for several seasons and its situation may not improve any time soon. The English club had to spend £21 million to recently change managers in the middle of the season.

The Red Devils parted ways with Erik ten Hag and welcomed Ruben Amorim in his place earlier this month. A change that cost them dearly. It turns out that management had to break the bank to carry out this reshuffle.

Ten Hag ruined MU

According to The Mirror, United had to pay Ten Hag and his staff compensation of around €13.7 million. They also had to pay a fee to Sporting CP to secure the services of Amorim and his assistant coaches.

The compensation paid to Ten Hag is not yet a record for United, since the club paid 22.7 million euros to José Mourinho upon his departure.
