This Saturday, the Premier League offered an attractive multiplex at 4 p.m. Unable to win their last four matches in all competitions, the Gunners had to win against Nottingham Forest. To do this, Mikel Arteta brought out the heavy artillery. A choice that quickly proved to be wise. Dominant, the Londoners lit the first fuse but Jurrien Timber saw his goal disallowed for an offside by Mikel Merino. A false joy quickly forgotten with the sublime opening score of Bukayo Saka (1-0, 15th). In control, Arsenal wanted to double the lead but the London attackers came up against a good Matz Sels (40th, 42nd). Upon returning from the locker room, the break was made possible thanks to a superb cross strike from Thomas Partey (2-0, 53rd). At the end of the match, young Ethan Nwaneri completed his team’s success after a nice one-two with Raheem Sterling (3-0, 86th) which allowed the young star to score his first professional goal. With this success, Arsenal returns to 4th place and tied on points with Chelsea.

At the same time, Aston Villa were snagged by Crystal Palace. While Ismaïla Sarr opened the scoring in the 4th minute of play for the Londoners, Ollie Watkins saw his equalizer eclipsed by Justin Devenny’s 2-1 goal for Crystal Palace. Thanks to Ross Barkley (77th), Unai Emery’s flock left with a draw (2-2) which does not do their business in the standings. At the same time, Bournemouth lost at home to Brighton. While Joao Pedro quickly opened the scoring in the fourth minute of play, Kaoru Mitoma doubled the lead in the fourth minute of the second half. The reduction of the Cherries’ gap at the end of the match will not have changed anything. Away victory also for Wolverhampton on the Fulham pitch thanks in particular to a double from Matheus Cunha (1-4). Finally, Brentford, reduced to ten in the 41st minute of play with the expulsion of Norgaard, went for a valuable draw on the Everton pitch (0-0).

The multiplex results:

Aston Villa 2-2 Crystal Palace: Watkins (36th), Barkley (77th) / Sarr (4th), Devenny (45+1st)
Arsenal 3-0 Nottingham Forest: Saka (15th), Partey (52nd), Nwaneri (86th)
Bournemouth 1-2 Brighton : Brooks (90+3rd) / Joao Pedro (4th), Mitoma (49th)
Everton 0-0 Brentford
Fulham 1-4 Wolverhampton : Iwobi (20th) / Cunha (31st, 87th), Gomes (53rd), Guedes (90+5th)
