Former PSG player, Laure Boulleau continues to follow the club’s results with great attention. And not just the women’s team. She scrutinizes the performances of Luis Enrique’s gang, particularly in the context of her work as a consultant for the Canal+ channel.
In an interview with Le Parisien, the former French international focused on some of the individuals in the French champions’ squad. And she acknowledged that there is one she likes more than others.
Boulleau falls for a Parisian striker
Boulleau admitted to having a weakness for Bradley Barcola, the firebrand of the Parisian team. “He’s going through the stages at the speed of a TGV, for the moment. I find him irresistible. I like his passion. It’s time for him to take a step forward against big teams like City or Bayern. And even in a tight match against Atlético, he’s the kind of player who can make the difference. He can be PSG’s X factor.”
Paris was not spared during the Champions League draw, with a rather tough menu on its program. Boulleau does not deny it, but she is quite curious to see how Hakimi and his gang will do. “I think they have a very tough regular season. By inheriting the two biggest teams in the second pot, they have one of the most difficult courses (…) Paris will play four huge games and the other four will not be easy. For a new era, without Mbappé, it will not be easy, but this collective era was necessary for PSG.”
