Not very active on the transfer market this summer, Liverpool FC has just finalized the arrival of its new recruit: Federico Chiesa. Discarded by Juventus Turin, the Italian has chosen to settle down on the banks of the Mersey.
The Premier League club made official on Thursday the transfer of the 26-year-old striker for a fee of 15 million euros, plus bonuses. Chiesa has signed a four-year contract, until June 2028.
The Genoese joins an already well-stocked attack at LFC, which includes talents such as Luis Díaz, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota, not to mention star Mohamed Salah. It is worth noting that in recent weeks, Chiesa had also been tipped to join FC Barcelona, but it is ultimately at Anfield that the former Bianconero will continue his career.
After five seasons at Fiorentina, the left winger joined the Old Lady for a fee of €44.60 million. With the Piedmontese club, he played 131 matches, scoring 32 goals and providing 23 assists.
