Two years after his promising arrival at Liverpool, Fabio Carvalho is leaving the English giants for a more anonymous club.

Observers and some media had announced him as a probable future Liverpool executive. The predictions were not there regarding the Portuguese Fabio Carvalho. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder should be sold to Brentford, for a compensation of around 25 million euros, indicates the Portuguese media A Bola.

Having arrived at the Reds from Fulham in the summer of 2022, Fabio Carvalho has never convinced his coach Jürgen Klopp (21 appearances in total, all competitions). He was loaned for six months to RB Leipzig in 2023, then to Hull City at the start of 2024. With Arne Slot, the new Liverpool manager, Fabio Carvalho had scored twice in this pre-season, against Arsenal and Manchester United.
