Jurgen Klopp lives his last moments on the Liverpool bench. After 8 years at the club, the German coach will set sail and take a sabbatical.
This Friday at a press conference, the former Borussia Dortmund manager spoke about his potential successor. For him, the next coach of the Reds will land the best job on the planet within the English club. Current Feyenoord manager Arne Slot seems to be holding the rope to succeed Klopp.
“ It’s the best club in the world, we do a fantastic job there, there’s a fantastic team, fantastic people. I like the way his team plays football. If it’s him (Arne Slot), I like that he has this desire. I don’t know Slot, but some people who know him say he’s a good guy. I really like this. If he’s the man for the job, I’m more than happy,” he admitted.
Farewell to the title of champion of England?
Liverpool are experiencing difficulties at the end of the season. The Mersey club is in third position with two points behind runner-up Manchester City and three behind leader Arsenal. Klopp’s players are behind and now have little chance of reversing the trend in this final sprint. However, anything is possible and it is very possible that the Scousers will fight until the last day.
