Radio consultant on RMC, Christophe Dugarry will return to television service this summer, for Euro 2024.
Viewers will soon hear the voice of Christophe Dugarry again. While he has returned to service for two years on RMC, the 1998 world champion plans to return to match commentary. And it is at the microphone of M6, this summer during Euro 2024 (from June 14 to July 14 in Germany), that he will make his comeback on television.
“I will accompany Xavier Domergue on the 13 matches broadcast by the channel, including the finalhe confides to The Team. The last time I commented on a big event was the 2006 World Cup, already with M6 and already in Germany. The story is beautiful. Then, I think I wasn’t too bad at commenting, I hope I haven’t lost everything. »
“2026 and 2030 are far away for me”
But “Duga”, who also commented on Ligue 1 when he was on Canal+, does not look further than this European Nations Championship. If M6 stole the broadcasting rights for the 2026 and 2030 World Cups from TF1, the former Blues striker (51 years old) wants to live day to day. “For the moment, I have only signed for one month this summer”he said.
“2026 and 2030 are far away for me. Maybe I’ll be in South America making mojitos or I’ll be living in a sheepfold in the Landes. I don’t know what I’ll be doing in two years, and that’s what’s great.”adds the former French international (55 caps, 8 goals), who is fully satisfied with his current pace as a radio consultant.
