Real Madrid will continue to closely monitor Erling Haaland’s transfer to Manchester City.
The Whites have been long-time admirers of the Norway international before his move from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester in 2022. Haaland remains central to City’s plans for years to come, with the possibility of a ‘double treble’ in the blue half of Manchester at the end of the current campaign.
His contract at the Etihad Stadium runs until 2027, but there is some flexibility over a possible exit route, although the striker insists he is happy at City.
Real has a gateway
According to previous reports, Haaland’s £170 million exit clause becomes active in June, and it will be reduced to £150 million in 2025. According to the latest information from Diario AS, City are confident in the possibility of renewing the contract with Haaland’s representatives, but the striker wants to keep a starting option.
If an agreement is reached, the sale clause will be reduced to around 150 million pounds, but that will not stop Real Madrid from taking action, if they decide to change strategy in the future.
