The Real star will not be sanctioned by the Competitions Commission for allegedly calling Manchester United player Mason Greenwood a ‘rapist’.

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham faces a two-match suspension for his red card following a challenge against Valencia last weekend, but he will not be sanctioned by the Competitions Commission for allegedly treating the Manchester player United Mason Greenwood of “rapist”.

After a video surfaced showing an altercation between the two players, Bellingham was seen saying a word that some attributed to the word “rapist.” However, he defended himself by saying that he had said “nonsense”. The incident did not take place during the match, but the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) decided to investigate the matter.

An archived affair

According to Marca, the case was archived because despite hiring a professional lip reader, it could not be determined whether Bellingham said “rapist” or “scumbag.” The result is that Bellingham will not be prosecuted, thus avoiding a suspension of four matches or more.

Two years ago, the 22-year-old Getafe striker was charged with attempted rape, coercive behavior and assault causing bodily harm, but the case was dismissed after key witnesses withdrew from the case. Bellingham is still under suspension for Saturday’s outing.
