The Liverpool right-back made Premier League history on Saturday.

Defender Vivian Alexander Anderson, then playing for Nottingham Forest, was the first black English international footballer on November 29, 1978. On Saturday, Trent Alexander-Arnold became the Premier League defender with the most assists since that competition exists.

The Liverpool right-back, 25, was credited with 58 assists when he crossed for Diogo Jota and the Reds’ opener against Burnley in this meeting of the 24th day of the English Championship. He is one unit ahead of his teammate Andrew Robertson (57).
