The match between Udinese and AC Milan was interrupted for almost ten minutes because of racist insults against Mike Maignan.
Another episode of racism in the Italian championship. The victim this time is called Mike Maignan. During the match between his AC Milan team and Udinese, the last French defense complained of discriminatory insults against him.
Maignan got fed up
The incident occurred around the 26th minute of the first half, when the Rossoneri goalkeeper left his cage to complain about insults received. First to the sidelines, then to the fourth man and the main referee.

The match then resumed, before being interrupted again due to repeated racist insults from Friulian supporters. It was then that the French international chose to leave the playing area completely.
As a sign of full support for their teammate, the Milan players, led by Theo Hernandez, also followed the French goalkeeper towards the tunnel leading to the locker room and left the field. The stadium announcer then read a warning message against racist chants asking that the insults stop. The interruption lasted 10 minutes.
When the match resumed, Maignan appeared disturbed. And that’s what led perhaps to the equalization of the premises. An outcome which will certainly make people talk and raise questions about the decision to have resumed the match.
